Layering textiles in your interior
Start from the floor up. A handcrafted rug sets the palette for the room, then layer a mohair throw or wool blanket over a sofa or bed for warmth and softness. Finish with cushion covers that pick up a colour from the rug, and a wall hanging to bring pattern up to eye level.
Mixing textures, such as the sheen of mohair with the matte feel of wool and the weave of recycled cotton, creates depth without clutter.
